02 / Voicy · Mac voice app
A Mac app that turns a spoken WhatsApp message into a contact and text you can review.
Dictation can write a message, but you still need to find the right chat. Voicy handles the contact match too, then stops for you to check it.
Hold Ctrl+Space and say “message Pulkit that I'll be late.” Apple's on-device speech recognition produces the transcript. Fuzzy and phonetic matching resolve the name against local contacts. A confirmation card shows the recipient and editable message.
A correct message sent to the wrong person is still a failure. Voicy asks when a name is ambiguous and learns corrected aliases. Before submitting to WhatsApp Desktop, it checks that the composer contains the confirmed message.
I tried an on-device language model for cleanup. Warm calls took 859 to 909 ms against a 250 ms budget, so the live path uses deterministic formatting instead.
The current build requires macOS 26 and Apple Silicon. A signed, notarized release is still pending. The repository documents the evaluation results and limits; end-to-end delivery is not independently verified here.
